A Little Shape

Our A Cut Above class has moved on to the Silhouette portion of the class.  I consider myself to be pretty proficient with my Silhouette but I'm excited to have a refresher and to learn some new things.  I'm also hoping to get some tips on some of the things I have trouble with.

Today we talked about grouping and ungrouping to make layered images or create images with different colored sections.  This is always handy to know how to do!  We also covered welding which is one of my FAVORITE tools on the Silhouette.  I just love a cute shaped card and to make one, you have to know how to weld.

One of the most interesting things I learned today was that Hero Arts actually has digital cutting files to coordinate with some of their stamp sets.  I knew I could get some Hero Arts images through the Silhouette Store but I had no idea that Hero Arts offered files on their site for me to buy and stamp on!  How AWESOME!

Today, I decided to make a shaped card with a little bit of layering.  I'm in need of some wedding cards with the season of wedded bliss quickly approaching so I figured I'd use a cute image I already had in my library.  I hope you like it!
