Good morning!! I hope you guys are all ready for another sketch this week at CAS(E) this Sketch. This week it's one of my sketches and wouldn't you know it...it had me stumped. Don't you hate when you stump yourself? Luckily, after making several different cards, I finally made one that I liked. Here it is:
With all the layers on the sketch, I tried all sorts of ideas but then I thought about the We Connect Stamp Set set from Lil' Inker Designs and it was perfect! I stamped it on watercolor paper and then started layering rainbow water colors. I finished it off with a sentiment from the I'll Be Brief Stamps. Here's a closer look:
Sorry for my crazy shadows...I was late and had to take photos with my phone. Ha ha!! That just goes to show how much I struggled with my own sketch. I hope you have a blast with it and that the team's creations inspire you! Head on over to CAS(E) this Sketch to join us!

A Card & A Sale!
Good morning!! I hope you guys are having a great week. I'm enjoying a nice lazy morning with nothing to run and go do today. Wow, that doesn't happen often so I plan to take full advantage of having an easy day. I'm sure I'll fill it up with Thanksgiving prep but at least it will be because I want to! Ha ha! ;) I have a quick card to share and I wanted to make sure you go check out the winners and Black Friday Sale post over at the Lil' Inkers Designs blog. Here's my card:
I started with a paper that already had the initial sentiment on it but I thought it needed some dressing up. Since I'm ALWAYS making birthday cards, I figured I'd turn this into one as well. So I grabbed my We Connect Stamps and stamped them on either side of the sentiment. I chose them because they reminded me of a modern take on balloons. I colored them in with some copics in primary colors. The card needed a little something to make it a true birthday card so I added a sentiment from Party Pachyderms. Perfect!
I hope you liked my card and don't forget to check out the Lil' Inker Designs blog for information on the awesome Black Friday Sale!

Lil' Inker Designs April Release Day 1!
It's time for another amazing release and I'm SO excited! You have no idea how it has been killing me waiting to share these amazing Lil' Inker Designs goodies with you. This release is FABULOUS and I hope you are as blown away by the team's creations and the products as I am. Everything is just wow! Lucky for you, the whole release is available right now in the Lil' Inker Store. You should have just enjoyed all the awesome creations over on Maureen's blog and, hopefully, you got here via her blog. If not, head on over to the the Lil' Inker Blog to start from the beginning so you don't miss a thing. You will want to see all the amazing creations for this release.
Today, I'm going to show off these amazing products: Vintage Ink Die Set, Vintage Ink Stamp Set, Just Sayin' Stamp Set, Speech Bubbles 2 Die Set and the We Connect Stamp Set. First up, a card using the Vintage Ink Die Set and the Vintage Ink Stamp Set.
Next up, I had some fun with Just Sayin' Stamp Set and Speech Bubbles 2 Die Set.
Finally, my card using the We Connect Stamp Set.
I stamped those gorgeous circles from the We Connect Stamp Set in a kraft colored ink before coloring them with copics in a similar color. I then embossed my sentiment from We Connect Stamp Set in a turquoise in the center of my image. I cut this out and layered it on some matching turquoise cardstock which I also trimmed to the same shape before adding it to my cardfront with two fun patterned papers. I can see TONS of coloring and black and white potential with this fun stamp set. I can't wait to play with it some more. ;)
Here's a quick look at the products I used today:
I hope you enjoyed my creations and will join the rest of the team on the hop. You'll want to leave comments along the way because Laura gives out a $15 Lil' Inker Designs store credit to a lucky commenter each day of the hop. It could be you. I'm sure I'll see you on the hop and tomorrow for another fun day of release projects. See you then!
Chrissy Larson <---Yup, that's me!!!
