Reverse Confetti SFYTT #31

Hi everyone!!  It's time for me to show off my creation for this month's Reverse Confetti SFYTT (Sketch For You To Try).  I had a great time playing with this sketch and I hope you've been inspired by it too.  You can check out the sketch here on the Reverse Confetti Blog and read all about how you can join in the fun.   Here's the card I created using the sketch:

I had a blast with this sketch especially because it gave me an excuse to use this adorable Santa from Jolly Holiday.   I colored him with copics and added some pearl paint to his fluff.  :)  I used some patterned papers to make my cute rectangle for Santa to stand on and added Joy from the Winter Words Confetti Cuts.  I added a little extra fun with a little tab cut from the Hang Ups Confetti Cuts adorned with an enamel dot.  I layered these with some rectangles of patterned paper and glitter tape as well as two Wreaths Confetti Cuts cut from vellum and green cardstock.  I love how these emulate the arch top in the sketch.  Here's a closer look:

We can't forget about the awesome sketch!  Here's the sketch you get to play with:

Reverse Confetti SFYTT #30

Hi everyone!!  It's time for me to show off my creation for this month's Reverse Confetti SFYTT (Sketch For You To Try).  I had a great time playing with this sketch and I hope you've been inspired by it too.  You can check out the sketch here on the Reverse Confetti Blog and read all about how you can join in the fun.   Here's the card I created using the sketch:

When I saw the sketch I knew I was going to use Petals 'n Posies.  I just love these sweet flowers so I cut them using the Petals 'n Posies Confetti Cuts from a soft gray cardstock and stamped my blooms in pinks, mint, and gray.  I picked out this fun striped background paper and added a strip of mint cardstock stamped with a sentiment from Lots To Say and popped it up with foam tape.  I added a little black and white dotted flag using the Stitched Flag Trio Confetti Cuts before layering my flowers around the sentiment.  I added some sparkle using pink rhinestones and a little extra shine by using glossy accents on my flower centers.

Here's the sketch you get to play with:

Reverse Confetti SFYTT Challenge!

I have made a pact with myself that every week I'm going to try to play in at least one challenge (aside from the ones I'm lucky enough to be a part of).  There are SO many fun and inspiring challenges out there and I'm always in need of birthday cards to donate to our church.  I figured this would be a good way to have some fun and make a ton of birthday cards in the process.  I'm not a mass producer, as much as I've tried, so this should really help me keep my creative juices flowing.  ;)

The first challenge I decided to try this week is the amazing sketch challenge at Reverse Confetti.  I know you all know I love sketches...I've only said it a million and 2 times.  Ha ha!  I especially had fun with this month's Sketch For You To Try challenge.  I love how I have a whole month to play with this sketch and I just might be making another card or two with it.  Here's what I came up with and the sketch:

http://reverseconfetti.com/category/sketch-for-you-to-try/current-sketch/

I used a fun new pattern paper pad for all the fun colors on this card.  I knew I wanted stars and the Stars Pretty Panels was just calling my name.  So, I cut my two rectangles of pattern and layered those on a navy base.  Then I cut my Stars Pretty Panels from a minty turquoise (?) paper and layered that over a bit of vellum to ensure my stars really popped!  Then I stamped my sentiment (from Folded Tag Sentiments) in a bright pink and added two fun shiny banners behind it before layering it on my star panel.  Finally, some enamel dots and star sequins add just a touch more sparkle to this fun birthday card.

Thanks SO much for checking out my card.  I can't wait to play in this fun challenge again!  Thanks Reverse Confetti!
