CTS #309

Good morning and happy Valentine's Day!  I hope you are having a great one so far.  I plan to go buy myself a coffee or something and I hope you will, "Treat Yo Self" also!  Sorry, I just LOVE Parks & Rec and couldn't help but throw that in there.  ;)  Something else I love?  A good sketch and we have one for you this week over at CAS(E) this Sketch!  Make sure you go check it out.  Here's what I created for my card this week:

It's true, I didn't do a bit a stamping for this card.  All I did was arrange these gorgeous bits and pieces from another of my favorite Christmas lines (I'll link it below).  I've had these chipboard stickers laying around since September and have been trying to find just the right spot for them.  Since I no longer scrapbook, they seemed a bit big for a card.  I kept them anyway and lucky for me, the worked out really well on this card.  I started with the word paper as my card base and then added the winter florals to either corner, trimming the one on the bottom edge.  I added a chipboard banner to finish it off.  I still can't decide if I will trim down the top floral.  I might have to if I want to put it in an envelope.  ;)  Here's a closer look:

Thanks so much for checking out my card and take on the sketch this week.  I'll see you over at CAS(E) this Sketch.  You won't want to miss what the team and our guest designer created.  They are AMAZING!  Have a great day and...

CTS #302

Good morning!  It's another awesome Thursday and I get to share my take on this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  This is a longer than normal challenge to run through the holidays so you have plenty of time to play along!

I'm just getting things all wrapped up for Christmas and I actually feel like I'm ahead of the game this year.  I'm still in denial the Christmas is rapidly approaching.  I swear it still feels like October to me.

This past weekend was the church Christmas Program and with that behind me, I can relax.  I stress about it every year and every year, it goes smoothly.  It is done and now I can have some fun.  Speaking of fun, have you see the new sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch?  The design team has some AMAZING creations this week and you simply have to check them out.  While you are here, here's my take:

I used the My Mind's Eye Winterberry collection for this card.  I simple layered papers (some cut with Lil' Inkers Dual Stitched Rectangles) and elements from the chipboard sticker pack.  It was super simple and I hope you like it.  Here's a closer look:

Thanks so much for checking out my card today and I hope you'll join us CAS(E) this Sketch at for this fun challenge!

Wintery Coffee Card

I think it's the perfect morning for a coffee card!  I made this card for a friend to give to her barista as a thank you.  I love that she is so awesome and thinks about all the people in her life that make her days brighter and wants to make sure they know she appreciates them.  Just think how awesome this world would be if we all showed our appreciation to each and everyone that impacts our lives even in the smallest way.  Not that coffee is a small endeavor!  He he he.

I love how this wintery card turned out and I hope you do too!

I have been hoarding this cool background paper for awhile now.  I just love the birch bark look of it.  It just screamed to be paired with this snowflake paper from Crate Paper.  So I stamped the saucer from the Concord & 9th Let's Chat Stamp set on the snowflake paper and cut it out as well as the cup with coffee stamped inside which I adhered to the saucer with foam tape for dimension.  I added elements from Crate Papers Snow & Cocoa all around my warm cup of cheer as well as enamel dots and wooden asterisks.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  I always love sharing them with you!  Have a great 2017!!

Christmas !s Closing In!

Is it seriously almost Christmas day?  Where has this year gone?  I'm not complaining because I love Christmas but still.  I almost forgot that we have already celebrated Halloween and Thanksgiving.  It's all sort of a blur.  Oh well, I guess that is why I need to be better at taking pictures.

I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday and that the weather is treating you well.  Dare I say it has been a fairly mild season for us so far.  Did I just jinx it?  I sure hope not.  I remember one year being able to still go for walk with a baby in a stroller in January and February.  That's just unheard of!  I swear I wasn't being a bad mom either...my mom was here with me and let me do it.  Ha ha ha!  :)

I only have a few Christmas cards left to share and only a few days before Christmas to do it, so bear with me.

I knew I needed to make a plaid card when I saw this paper from My Mind's Eye.  I love the touch of gold so, I used it as my cardbase.  Next, I used the large Joy stamp from Concord & 9th's Joy Bundle to emboss Joy twice in black.  I cut the Joy die from the same bundle in gold, added a banner coming through the "o" with a sentiment from the stamp set stamped on vellum, and bumped the whole word up with some foam tape.  It was a super simple card but I think it is very on trend with today's home decor and fashion trends.  Here's another look:

Thanks so much for checking out my blog today!  Have a great Thursday!  :)
