Monday Funday on a Sunday

A Monday on a Sunday...what??? Well, I decided to play along with the fun challenge over at Global Design Project and after I created my card, I realized that I had to submit it before the deadline on Sunday and not Monday. Ooops! Oh well, all that matters is that I had a blast with this challenge and I'm sure I will be joining in the fun more often. The inspiration was awesome and it has been awhile since I have done a color challenge. While I don't have these colors from Stampin' Up, I knew I could still use them to inspire a fun baby card. Here is my card and a look at the colors for the challenge:

 

I started my card with this fun striped background that I though was perfect for bringing in the sandy color. I used rounded rectangle dies to soften the look and then used them on the grid paper to create a landing point for my focal point of this card. I cut the baby onesie out of blue and added a moon and banner cut from yellow. I colored the cheeks of my moon and added a little shading before attaching it to the onesie that I had already stamped with some stars. The onesie is popped up with some foam tape and then the sentiment is stamped in the corner of the grid paper layer. I finished it all off with some fun enamel shapes! Here's a closer look:
