CTS #400

Good morning and welcome to another awesome week of sketch fun!  I hope you will all be able to join us over at CAS(E) this Sketch for this super fun challenge.  You won't want to miss what the team has created!  Here's my card for the week:

To say I struggled with this card is a major understatement. I knew exactly what I wanted to do but it took me 5 attempts to make it happen and I still messed this one up. I was done trying though and decided it was good enough! Ha ha ha! I used some watercolor pens to create this background which I smudged the first 2 times and then stuck my finger in the third time leaving navy blue finger prints every where. UGH! It took me another attempt to get the vellum right and not smudged but then I attempted to emboss the sentiment while the watercolor was still damp which doesn't make for an easy to read sentiment. So, I brushed off the embossing powder and attempted to line it up perfectly and cover the embossing ink with gold...I missed. Then to try to make it look intentional, I tried again with black...missed again. So, this is what you get. Ha ha ha. Not perfect but not terrible either. Here's a closer look:

Thanks so much for checking out my card! I hope to see you at CAS(E) this Sketch.

  1. I love your card with the true meaning of Christmas. I don't see anything wrong with it. Sorry you had so many booboos but it turned out great. I have this set also and love using it. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Love that you have show the real meaning of Christmas. I think it's a very nice card. Don't worry because I think we have all had cards that have given us problems. In fact the one I did for this sketch I used almost an entire sheet of designer paper trying to match up the lines in the plaid paper I used.
