Good morning from gorgeous Beaver Island, MI! Hopefully, the internet holds out long enough for me to get this posted. We are having an amazing time on this gorgeous slice of heaven. Growing up in Florida, I can tell you the beaches on Beaver Island trump those of my childhood in Navarre, Florida. The water is every bit as clear, if not more, the sand is soft on your toes and there are no jelly fish, sting rays, sharks, crabs, etc. You get out of the clean gorgeous water without that sticky feeling left on your by salt water. I know people love the salt but give me a gorgeous lake like this any day!
While I'm here ranting about the gorgeousness of the Great Lakes, I better share a card! Ha ha! Here's my take on this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.
My card today is super simple. I found a fun gray background and layered on some corally red rectangles to go with the sketch. Then I cut this die I got from PTI but couldn't find on the site today. I have the worst time finding things on their site. I cut the card from a light gray paper with hearts and again from the same coral paper. I trimmed out the happy and layered it on the card that I had already backed with vellum. I added a "birthday" cut and an enamel heart. Rounding the corners finished off the look I was going for. I hope you like it and here's a closer peek:
Have an awesome day! I'm going to get some breakfast and coffee to fuel up for all the floating I have to do today. Rough life, I'm telling you! See you over at CAS(E) this Sketch.
Wonderful take on the sketch, Chrissy!
