CTS #254

Hello everyone!  Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my take on this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge!  The boys and I have been running around making sure everything is ready for some yucky weather we are supposed to be expecting today.  Most of the snow we had is gone so I guess it's time for some more.  I could live without the dropping temp and the wind but I guess it is a good excuse to get some card making in and relax with my boys.

I hope you are having a great week and are ready to play along with us.  I love Leigh's sketch and I couldn't wait to get creating.  Especially because I knew it would be perfect for a stamp set that I bought but hadn't had a chance to ink up yet.  Here's my take:

I knew this cool lined stamp from Concord & 9th's Bits & Pieces Stamp Set would be the perfect substitute for the frame in the sketch.  I planned to leave some of the spaces open that were intended for the flowers but I still liked how it would look.  After I had that image centered, I started stamping flowers and leave then cutting them out with the Bits & Pieces Dies.  I just love peach, yellow, turquoise, and teal with black and gray so I went with it.  I positioned my flowers and leaves in the corner of my stamped image and popped some up with foam tape for dimension.  I was going to play with the layout a little more but, whoops, I sort of stuck them down on accident.  Oh well!  Next, I embossed my sentiment in yellow on a strip of black and added it with some foam tape.  A few enamel dots here and there finished things off...he he he, just a few.  ;)  Here's a closer peek:
