CTS #250

Goodness!  This week has really flown by and I haven't had a chance to check in with you guys at all!  Thank goodness for a slower day today so I can sit down and say, "hi".  I hope you all are having a wonderful December.  It has dropped from 50's to 20's in a days time here and I keep reminding myself that it is still warm for December.  It sure feels cold when though when the temp changes that quickly!  My chickens sure don't appreciate it.  Ha ha!

Today is another awesome CAS(E) this Sketch challenge and I just know you are going to love it.  I had a blast with this sketch and the rest of the team created AMAZING cards so be sure to check them out.  Here's my take on the sketch:

I started this card by using some white embossing paste on a white card base with the Sketched Line Stencil from Altenew but just in the corners.  While that dried, I inked up some card stock with inks from the Red Cosmos collection and the Tropical Forest collection before cutting them with the Fantasy Floral 3D Die Set.  I layered my flower on the stenciled portion of my card and added a sentiment .  I felt like it needed a little black to ground everything so I layered it on a black card base to finish it off and make the flower pop.  Here's a closer look:

Thanks so much for checking out my card today!  I hope you enjoyed it and will come play along with us at CAS(E) this Sketch!  See you there.

  3. What a pretty card, Chrissy! I love that you used embossing paste lines just in the corners. The fantasy floral 3D die set is one of my favorites. The black card base is the perfect choice. Hideko
