May Lil' Inker Designs Mini Release
Today's a super fun Lil' Inker Designs mini release and we have some amazing guests joining us for this fun hop and I can hardly wait to go check out everyone's creations. I've been lucky enough to spend time with most of the ladies crafty in the most amazing craft house ever. What a joy it always is to see each and everyone of them and steal just a bit of there mojo...but don't tell them what I'm up to. Ha ha ha! You should be stopping here after visiting the amazing Lori Craig. If you get lost along the way, you can see the full list of participants by visiting the Lil' Inker Blog.
I went a little wild for a mini release and created a few too many cards. I just couldn't help myself. I'll start with the new You Will Never Regret Being Kind stamp since you may have seen a glimpse of this card in the banner.
Shockingly, I started my card with the image stamped using You Will Never Regret Being Kind and not by picking patterned paper! I loved the bold black image but wanted to add color in a different way so I broke out my standby, the Really Rosemaling Stamp Set. I stamped various images from the set if bright colors around my sentiment. After that, I set about deciding how I was going to create a card front. I thought about just leaving it on white but my love of pattern got the better of me. I paired the green striped paper with a black and orange (the later two were cut using Dual Stitched Rectangles to give it that awesome stitched edge. Here's a closer look:
Next I created two cards using Be the Reason Someone Smiles Today but I'll share one with you today and save the other for tomorrow!
This card was a labor of love! I started by stamping the Be the Reason Someone Smiles Today in Versamark on navy paper. Then I added my turquoise embossing powder and used a paint brush to brush way the areas that I wanted a color other than turquoise. I heat that layer and then added white and brushed off what would then be orange. It took awhile to complete and my first attempt went into the trash by I'm really happy with how it all turned out in the end. I cut my finished embossed paper with Silly Stitched Squares Dies and added it to a polka-dot card front with some foam tape. Here's a closer look:
Finally, I made this card using the Stitched Cloud Cover Up and the Angel Pets Stamps and Dies.
I love the Stitched Cloud Cover Up. I swear it is just perfect! I know you are going to love it too. I added this amazing background to this awesome ombre paper before layering my various clouds cut using the Border Builders Die Set. I added a sun using the Sunshine Die behind the clouds before adding this sweet kitty that I stamped with Angel Pets Stamps and cut with the Angel Pets Dies. I stamped a sentiment from Angel Pets Stamps at the bottom and added a little sparkle to this angel's wings. Here's a closer look:
I have another card using this combo also and I'll share it tomorrow as well. I hope you can handle the wait! I know one way to make the wait easier! Continue on the hop with Jill Hawkins! You won't want to miss what she comes up with. She's a hoot. Don't forget to be commenting because Laura is giving away products from this mini release to 3 lucky winners! You can read more about it on the Lil' Inker Blog. It could totally be you! Have fun hoping and here's what I used today:
