Hopefully, you checked out all of Amy's amazing creations before hopping here. If not of it you get lost along the hop you can always find your spot by going to the Lil' Inker Blog. For now, I'm ready to show off some more fun stuff!
My first card uses the gorgeous new Wreath of Roses Stamps and the Wreath of Roses Die.
I just love black and white with bright bright colors so I couldn't wait to combine the two on this card. I started by creating a striped card base using black cardstock cut with Stitched Mats: Long & Skinny Rectangle. I stamped and cut my amazing focal point using the Wreath of Roses Stamps and the Wreath of Roses Die. These are just too gorgeous for words. I colored the flowers in bright yellow, pink, and oranges with bright green leaves to really pop off the black and white. Next, I stamped my sentiment from Wreath of Roses Stamps on vellum and added it to the center to the center of my wreath. Here's a
closer look:
I went in the opposite direction with this card and used softer tones. I started with a blush cardstock and used the Stitched Quatrefoil Die to give it the most amazing texture. This pattern is too cool and can take a card in so many directions. When I first saw it, I thought Moroccan but when I used it on this card, it brought out some floral elements and I loved that! I decided to show off the Mom Word Die and cut three to layer with some of my florals stamped with Best Blooms Stamps and cut with Best Blooms Dies. I loved having navy as the most bold color in this card. It made the softer colors shine. I layered all my flowers around my sentiment and added a few sequins and pearls for a little shine. Here's a closer
look:
Just look at that texture! Love it!
My last card is one that I did on a total whim and I LOVE the way it turned out. It's drastically different from the first two cards I've shown today but still goes with the mother theme. I used this awesome new alphabet set called Pretty Painted Alphabet Stamps and cut some of my letters with the coordinating Pretty Painted Alphabet Dies.
I saw a cute print at Hobby Lobby that said "Your Love Will Always Be My Anchor" and it immediately clicked with me and seemed like a perfect sentiment for a Mother's Day card. I got home and went to work. I knew the awesome new Pretty Painted Alphabet Stamps would be the perfect lettering for this bold of a sentiment. I also knew I would have to pair down the words to make them fit on the card. I grabbed the Vintage Ink Stamps because the anchor was just too perfect for this idea and I loved the "Mom" sentiment. I placed my anchor, colored it in and started arranging my letters around the anchor. I decided to make "Love" pop by making it red and cutting it with the Pretty Painted Alphabet Dies to raise off the card with foam tape. I created the banner from some vellum and stamped it with the "Mom" sentiment and wrapped it around the anchor. Finally, I added elements from the Vintage Ink Stamps to finish the card off. Here's another look:
