Hi, you guys! I know the blog has been a little quiet this week but that's because I have some visitors from NY in the house! Woo hoo! My mom and dad surprised me last week by letting me know they were coming out for a visit. Can't beat that! We've been having a great time all week exploring some of the things I've been meaning to check out since we moved to Iowa 10 years ago. I'm a little slow going. He he he. So far, my favorite was the Grotto of the Redemption in West Bend, IA. Talk about a cool place to check out. WOW! Here's a picture of my mom, dad, and all my boys.
It's been fun having my mom in my craftroom with me also and I hope you enjoy my take on this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. I had a good time with it!
I had this super cute 3x4 journaling card in my stash and thought it fit the sketch perfectly! I added a little washi to cover up a part of the sentiment on the card that I didn't want since I wanted this to be a birthday card. I added the card to this fun word background paper and finished my sentiment using a die cut from Brushstroke Birthday Greetings and some sticker letters.
I hope you like my card for the challenge and will join us at CAS(E) this Sketch! I'm off the Des Moines for the day! Have a great one!
LOVE the mixed font sentiments on your card! Wish I thought of that. And how wonderful to have your family in the house! Enjoy!
