The 2nd Sweetest Day of March!

This month has been amazing for all of us.  Why you ask?  We had an awesome first Sweet Release and now we get a second.  If that's not a reason to celebrate, I don't know what else to tell you.  The best thing about these two releases?  The stamps are AMAZING!  We got an adorable little dog last time and this time around...I get to show you my favorite new friend, Kitty Cat.  Check this furry friend out:

Seriously, how cute is this set?  I love all the accessories to play with and this kitty is WAY too sweet!  Would you like to see my creations?  Here you go:

Both of these cards use some supplies for pocket scrapbooking.  In case you can't tell, I'm addicted to using them on cards.  Ha ha!  For my first card, I used a 4x6 pocket card and trimmed it down for my background piece.  I liked the way the label on the card made a little home for my kitty.  By combining alpha stickers, thickers, and another stamp set I'll be showing off in a second, I created my own sentiment which I thought was just perfect for this Kitty Cat stamp set.  I love it more than catnip!  Ha ha!

My second card was the first thing I thought of when Nicole shared a peek of the set with the design team.  I knew I had to use that adorable fish bowl and make my cat just a tiny bit naughty (as all good cats are).  I masked out the fish in the bowl by covering it with washi tape during inking.  It worked perfectly to give me an empty bowl.  I then masked off the bowl and stamped my Kitty Cat caught in the act.  Doesn't he look sorry?  ;)  Now, the "oops" is stamped with the other fun set I get to share with you today.  Check it out:

I love to make up my own sentiments sometimes and this set makes it SO easy!  The other cool thing about Outline Lower Alpha, I can color it in!  This set is perfect for coloring, paper piecing, embossing, you name it.  Love that I can do so much with one set of letters.  The other cool thing?  It pairs amazingly with other alphas.  Can't beat a stamp set that plays so well with others.  ;)  Here's what I did with it:

My first card uses Outline Lower Alpha paired with another awesome alphabet from Sweet Stamp Shop called:  Monogram Alpha.  I lined all my letters up on my stamp press before stamping this card.  I had to do it in several stages since I only have one of each letter (for only $7.95, I might just have to buy a second set).  After getting all my words on, I colored the "this" with my white pen and colored "fire" with my colored pencils in yellow, orange, and red to give a good fire look.  I added a banner with the "YOU DID IT" from Just the Basics and then layered on the sparkle and color with enamel dots and bling.  I think this card would be SO fun for graduation season and you can bet a special lady in my life will be getting this card to celebrate her hard work!

This next card is going to be for my nephew whose graduation is in a couple short months.  I used his school colors of orange and blue and cut out the hats and "Grad" with my Silhouette Cameo.  I layered some acetate on the back to make my windows for the shaker card but wanted a little more orange.  So I decided to fill in some windows with orange paper.  This also helped the "Grad" stand out.  My original plan was to have this card say "mad props, Grad" but my "r" leaped off my stamp press while I was positioning everything and I spent a good 30 mins crawling around on my craft room floor looking for it.  :(  I gave up my hunt and used the Numbers - Symbols set along with Outline Lower Alpha to create a non-r sentiment.  Ha ha!  Don't worry, when I used my diecutter later that day, I found my "r".  It's back home now.  ;)  I embossed my sentiment, added my foam tape and sequins, and ended up with a super fun shaker card.

I really hope you enjoyed my cards today.  It was a ton of fun working with these awesome sets and you will totally want to visit the Sweet Stamp Shop blog to see what the rest of the amazing team did.  You are going to be totally blown away!  Also, if you want to see the stamp sets up close and personal, check out Nicole Picadura's video on the Sweet Stamp Shop YouTube channel.  It's super fun to watch and you will want to Subscribe to the channel so you don't miss a thing!  Hope you all have a super SWEET day!   Don't forget to use the coupon code - NRM10 for 10% off the new release stamp sets!
