Plus, this amazing color combo for Play Date Cafe's challenge:
Then to top it all off, I found this awesome inspiration on Pinterest:
I just loved it and it made me think of the cloud impression plate from Clear & Simple Stamps. So, I did my embossing and then filled in a couple of the clouds with the coordinating shapes from the die set. I finished it off with a tag stamp from Avery Elle and while I hate making sympathy cards, I'm happy with how this turned out. I hope you like it!
Stamps: To The Point (Avery Elle), Framed Out #4 (PTI)
Inks: Onyx, French Roast (Amuse Studio)
Dies & Cuts: Clouds (Clear & Simple)
Paper: Kraft (Clear & Simple)), Gold (PTI), This & That Graceful And Charming (Echo Park)
Misc: Foam Tape
(Scotch), Raindrops
Wow, how gorgeous and clean and simple. I love the raindrops, they convey the tone of the sympathy card perfectly. Thanks for playing along with us at The Play Date cafe!
ReplyDeleteThoss raindrops are so cool and I love that your clouds are patterned. Gorgeous. Thanks so much for playing with us at CAS-ual Fridays!

ReplyDeleteReally lovely Chrissy! I totally agree that sympathy cards can be the hardest to do especially in such a clean and contemporary way.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this...awesome combo of inspirations! Now are those 'real' raindrops? Well, you know what I mean....I need some of those...can you tell me who makes them?
ReplyDeleteHi, Amy! I got them in two different colors at Joanns and, luckily, I found a brand new pack! They are from Cloud9 Design and called Teardrop Rain Dots. Hope that helps. :)
