My First Splatter...

Well, I did it.  I broke down and used some mist to splatter and I'm still not sure what I think about it.  I don't like the lack of control but the results are pretty neat.  I will have to play around with it some more because I LOVE it on other people's cards.  I decided to participate in the Collage Color Trends Challenge over at Embellish Blog.  I was a little concerned with this challenge because the colors aren't what I usually play with but the Design Team made such amazing cards...I just had to play along.  As it turns out, my in-laws' anniversary is tomorrow and I need a card!  So, here's what I did with this inspiration:

Supplies:  Everything was pretty much random scraps here and there.  I'm not sure where the anniversary stamp is from either.  The mist is Mister Huey's Shine, ink is Momento Tuxedo Black, cardstock is from Neenah.  The rest was from random scrapbooking kits that I've collected over the years!  ;)
