Black and Blue

Well, we are home from the cabins but now we are in New York!  My husband goes to his Air Force Reserve job in Alabama for 6 weeks each summer and while he's working, we go to New York to play and have fun with my parents!  Who gets the better end of that deal?  :)  Lucky for me, my mom is as addicted to papercrafting as I am.  I hardly had to bring anything with me to keep up my craftiness.

Today we are unpacked and settled in plus, my littlest is napping which means, I can craft!  I had my most recent stamp order sent to my mom's house so I am ready to go!  Since I had a teeny bit of time left, I decided to play along with The Play Date Cafe's latest challenge using black, blue, and white:  #137.  Here's the inspiration photo:

I usually don't do black and blue together because it makes me think of a bruise but that's what makes it a challenge!  Here's my card:

Stamps:  Summer Fun (The Craft's Meow)
Inks:  True Black, Blueberry Sky (PTI)
Paper:  Solar White (Neenah)
Misc:  Foam Tape (Scotch), Sheer Shimmer Spritz (Tsukineko), Mini Swiss Dot Mask (The Crafter's Workshop), Blue Gel Pen
