Playing with Text for Make it Monday!

I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!  I know I am!  Especially because today in A Cut Above, we were talking about playing with text and our Silhouette.  I love text and being able to cut, shape, and play with any font on my computer was probably one of the main selling points of the Silhouette for me.  I love that I can download a text I like and cut it!  It really gives me TONS of options on cards.  For today's card, I shaped my "Hello" into a circle cut to give a little window of text.  I got my color inspiration for this card from the Make it Monday challenge over at Nichole's blog.  Nichole's video is really worth watching.  It follows her creative process and it actually gave me some interesting things to try in making this card.  I especially liked how she set her finished card front on different colors of cardstock to figure out what cardbase she wanted to use.  It made choosing a color so much nicer!  Here's the color inspiration and card I came up with.  I hope you enjoy my take on text and color!

So many people liked the Hello design that I figured I'd share it!  Hopefully I'm doing this right.  :)  If you click here, you should be able to download my .studio file and open it in Silhouette Studio.  Hope it works!

    1. Thanks so much, Sharon! The font is called CGPhenixAmerican, it may have been a standard one on my computer as I don't remember downloading it. It's cute though, so I could see myself downloading it and not remembering! ;)

    1. I just figured out how to turn the "word verification" off! Who knew it would take me so long to find! ;) I hate those stupid things...I can never make out the letters.
