CTS #152

Good morning, you guys!!  I hope you haven't passed out from the shock of me actually posting to my blog everyday this week.  I swear, I'm not sick or something, ha ha!  Holiday preparation has been going strong in this house and I've been enjoying sharing my cards and such with you guys.  I hope you saw my Lil' Inker Designs release post this morning.  I think you'll like it.

School work has turned all holiday themed with the boys using Christmas list writing to practice handwriting and spelling skills and having fun with the word finds, scrambles, and math puzzles I've been finding for them to enjoy. I remember loving the fun worksheets we'd get to do around the holidays in school.  I didn't want them to miss out.  Here's a picture of my littlest enjoying all the decorating.  He was SO excited this year.  I love to see that.

My my card this week, I went a little softer in color and pinker than I normally would but I love how it turned out in the end.

I used some gorgeous woodgrain patterned paper for the card base and the frame which is cut using the My Favorite Things Stitched Fishtail Frames Die.  I backed the frame with a peachy ombre paper which I stamped using a sentiment from LJD Birthday Greetings.  Then I added a little bloom from Fall Florals and cut using the coordinating die to the corner along with some bling to finish off my card.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today and will come join us at CAS(E) this Sketch for this week's sketch!  Hope to see you there!

  2. Oh, I just love this! The pink is perfect against the natural-looking backdrop of the DSP. I've been loving your amazing sketches at Cas(E) This.
And your time with your boys reminds me of my home-schooling days - not sure if that's what you're doing, but it is so great to be enriching their lives with fun projects!
