CTS #118

Good morning everyone!  I hope you had a wonderful Easter and enjoyed some good quality time with your family.  We had a blast between Easter service, brunch, lunch with my in-laws, and finally dinner with the whole Larson family...wow, that's a ton of eating.  ;)  It was a wonderful and busy weekend but we still had time to uphold a long standing Easter tradition.

When I was in middle school, my grandparents used to come stay with us for the winter and spring (who could blame them, we were in Florida and they lived in NY).  One year while we were dying Easter eggs, my silly grandpa decided to put the empty colander on his head and make silly faces.  This, of course, turned into a photo op and everyone had to get a colander head photo.  It has been a tradition ever since.  My boys never got to meet my grandpa as he died a week before my oldest was born but it makes me happy that this little piece of him is with us always.  It makes me especially happy because my brother's family also keeps the tradition alive and it is SO fun seeing both of our sets of boys with colanders on their heads each and every Easter.  Love you, grandpa!

I hope you enjoyed my little bit of tradition and I hope you'll also enjoy my take on this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  It just happens to be a sketch of mine and I went all springy with it!

I found this large chipboard bloom in my stash of old scrapbooking supplies that I NEED to use up.  I thought it would be perfect for this card with this fun grid patterned paper background.  I finished if off with a hello I cut from wafer board.  Super simple.

Thanks for checking out my take on the sketch and I hope to see you over at CAS(E) this Sketch this week!  Have a great day.
