CTS #84

Hi, you guys!  Thanks for stopping by my blog this morning so I can show off our CAS(E) this Sketch challenge and share what I created using it.  I really love Thursdays.  It's so fun to see what the whole team has come up with and then go look at the cards you guys created for the last challenge.  All those amazing cards get my creative energy revved up!  First up, here's the sketch I got to play with this week.

When I created this sketch, it was sort of on a whim.  Little did I know, it turned out to be an awesome sketch to work with.  Here's what I created.

There is a bit of a funny story behind this card.  One day my oldest son decided he wanted to make cards and sell them to raise money for the bible camp he attended to put in a new pool.  He recruited his workforce (brother and a friend), talked me into giving him a stash of older scrapbooking supplies, and picked a name, Three Friends Cards.  Before I knew it, they were cranking out cards and making a lovely "creative" mess.  One thing I noticed in the scatter was a strip of lantern stickers.  I snagged them because they totally made me think of this sketch and when inspiration strikes, you have to go with it.  I got "the look" from my oldest as I took some of THEIR supplies but I made it out with the stickers.  ;)

I dug through my 6x6 paper pads to find paper that would work and a strip of glitter paper to a little sparkle.  I layered my papers, added a Congratulations rub on, stuck on my stickers, and added a little bling to finish off the card.  For stickers that I never thought I would use, they made an awfully cute card.  I guess you just never know.

I hope you will come join us at CAS(E) this Sketch this week.  See you there!
