A little sympathy.
Unfortunately, I have found myself in need of some sympathy cards lately. For some reason, I have the worst time coming up with ideas for sympathy cards...much like I never know what to write in them. I'd love some ideas if anyone out there has any. Here's what I finally came up with for a card:
Why knew that the Country Life cartridge would be so useful! Thanks for looking and I'd love to hear or see some suggestions!

Another day, another challenge!
I just had to take part in the color challenge over at The Pink Stamper. The colors were teal/blue, green, and brown. I needed to make a little Christmas/Thanks card for my son's teacher so this was just perfect! I finally opened up my Create a Critter cartridge. I've been dying to use it but have been SO busy! Finally, I made a card with and it turned out super cute! What do you think?
The lighting is horrible in here tonight but I still LOVE the card! Have a great holiday!

A little farmyard fun!
My husband has requested that I make him some cards that he can send to clients. He's a farm manager so it was only fitting that I make some cards with the Country Life cartridge. Here is my favorite:
It turned out rather cute plus it was the first time I used my new Gypsy to layout the cuts! (Thanks, mom!) I'm working on a sheepishly cute card as we speak! See you tomorrow!

A few more cute cards
Here's a couple more cards I made this weekend using the cute I won from Robyn. They are SO cute I can't help but be inspired!

Oh how I wish I had this cartridge! Here's hoping they release it again...it is TOO cute!

A little birthday cheer!
I was lucky enough to win a set of 50 cuts from the Smiley Cards cartridge (the cartridge was free when you registered a Gypsy by a certain time) from Robyn at My Pink Stamper. I wasn't lucky enough to be able to purchase a Gypsy before the deadline to get Smiley Cards so imagine my excitement when I won the 50 cuts from the cartridge I had been wanting! The cuts are SO darn cute that it will be hard for me to part with them to make cards.
Luckily, Robyn gave me the perfect excuse to play with one of the cuts when she issued another challenge on Monday. I decided to use a cut that I won for the challenge!
It is a very VERY simple card but I like it and I know just who I'm going to send it to!
I can't wait to play with more!

Busy busy busy!
This is the time of year where I don't get to come up for air. Luckily, over the years, I have developed gills! ;) I just finished one of the three different calendars I build each year. I build one for my parents, one for my husband and I, and one for the Larson family. The trick is keeping them all straight and making sure each grandchild is represented on each page (the Larson family has 10 grandkids). Before we moved back to Iowa, my sisters-in-law would build the Larson calendar with paper scissors and glue. Then they would scan each page, put together the calendar, and take it to Office Max for binding. That seemed like a lot of wasted time and pictures (they cut them all up and taped them to paper!) to me so I decided to modernize the process with some digital scraping. I started out building each page with the digi supplies I had. It took awhile but is conserved our pics from being sliced and diced (this was before digital cameras were the norm). Luckily, digital camera saved me from scanning pics and I finally got smart and started buying a calendar kit from The Shabby Shoppe! LOVE THEM!! They make life so much easier and even though I still have the task of getting each kid on each page, it goes SO much quicker when I don't have to design each page also!
Here's a peek at the calendar for my husband and I:
Here's the cover.
February
November (my fav!)
Here's peek at what the actual calendar pages look like. I go through each for each family and put in all the holidays and birthdays/anniversaries so they don't have to write them in. Thanks for looking!

I'm back!!!
Well, my trip to New York was pretty crazy and not at all what I expected but everything turned out well and I had a nice time with my family. I'm trying to get settled back into life at home. It is amazing how a week away makes you feel like you have to play catch up when you get home. Hubby did a great job and I'm super happy with that!
Yesterday I worked on getting the Advent calendar up and filled. I figured it would be a good time to break out the Imagine and the Snow Angel cartridge. The cartridge has these adorable tag-like motifs that were just dying to be my Advent activity cards! I printed and cut 25 of them and started thinking up activities for the month. They worked perfectly and are much cuter than the slips of paper I used last year! Check it out:
